About the project

After many years of discussions and many approaches by publishers, David Bromley has finally collaborated with Earl Carter and 3 Deep Design to create A Picture Book First and Foremost. Capturing the two distinct and unique languages of Bromley's work; the female portrait and the children's series, these narratives have been supported with a rare glimpse into the environments and worlds that Bromley inhabits. This site has been created in order to document the many conversations, exchanges and happenings that have contributed to the creation of this unique book. Designed by 3 Deep Design, with images by Earl Carter and words by Matthew Sturgis and Ashley Crawford, A Picture Book First and Foremost is a stunning example of Australian Cultural publishing.
