The farm

The farm in Daylesford was the first place I’d put up a billboard/collage. It was nice to finally return to do it so many years later. As a kid I was a sign writer and was often working up ladders and on top of factory roofs. I recently saw an image in a semi industrial riverside location that someone had placed on small billboards dotted throughout the location. The images really changed that environment into a sort of outdoor gallery. It just looked stunning and I wanted to do something similar on the farm. I’ve always seen the Children's images selected for this shoot as a little bit English. Connected to my heritage, my father. I came to this beautiful country and I sometimes feel a bit of a fish out of water, but still with this great affinity for the landscape. There is something about the juxtaposition of my imagery again the Australian landscape that I really enjoy.

A great day.
